Body and Soul

Two figures lie in parallel, indistinguishable in form yet radically different in presence. One body appears inert—its oxidized, metallic surface suggesting weight, time, and stillness. The other, though cast in the same shape, vibrates with color and energy, as if animated from within.

Body and Soul explores the paradox of duality: the separation and simultaneity of the physical and the immaterial. These are not two beings, but one condition—matter and vitality coexisting, diverging, and reflecting each other. What seems lifeless contains memory; what appears alive emerges from the same form.

In this tension, the work asks: where does the body end, and where does the soul begin—or are they, ultimately, the same?.
